Très bel endroit remplit d'histoire. Dès le premier pas dans le château, nous voilà transporté quelques siècles en arrière, on s'attendrait presque à croiser un chevalier dans la cour. Calme et bien placé, très accueillant que ce soit pour les adultes ou les enfants: nous avons tous étés enchantés. Expérience à refaire en famille ou entre amis et clairement conseillée à quiconque est passioné d'histoire ou simplement romantique.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Chateau de Frontenay. We were unlucky with the weather as it was raining the entire time, but we still enjoyed our stay at the castle and enjoyed exploring the Jura region. This is all in thanks to our host Laurence. Out of our years on Airbnb, Laurence is by far the best host we have had. She ensured that our trip went smoothly with clear communication before our trip, made excellent recommendations for activities, and helped make arrangements for us. She went above and beyond by making a homemade lunch with her husband Pierre. She even brought us groceries to have breakfast! Laurence is the ultimate host. She ensured that we had a comfortable stay at the castle and that we explored the Jura wine, cheese, and beautiful landscapes. Every step of our trip from when we got off the train in Lons Le Saunier to getting on our bus to Dole, Laurence ensured that things went smoothly. The castle itself is impressive! It has been in Pierre's family for over 600 years. We enjoyed picking out which room we wanted to stay in (you can switch rooms each night!). We loved it at Chateau de Frontenay! One tip is that it will be a lot easier to get around if you have a car. We made it work with taxis and Laurence's help, but a car on hand provides a lot more possibilities.
