The house can be reached via a dirt road that branches off from the Polvano and Valle del Nestore provincial road, near the town of S.Savino. The house is located in the center of a building complex probably built in the first half of the 1800s which also includes ancillary rooms used above all in the past and used as stables for animals, a grain shed and a cellar. the latter, still used today, it retains most of its original features and can be visited. The house was renovated in the early 2000s with the utmost respect for the original style and has maintained its rustic but comfortable flavor, giving a pleasant feeling of welcome. Arranged over 2 floors, the main entrance is accessed by climbing two external steps and we will find ourselves directly in the living room, furnished with a sofa bed which, if necessary, can accommodate another 2 comfortable beds, a rustic-style wooden table with two benches and the fireplace with glass closure. Continuing we find a small bathroom equipped with toilet and sink and the kitchen, large and bright, with a dining table for 6 people, equipped with gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster and among the equipment you will also find American-style coffee maker, moka and fridge with freezer. In the kitchen there is also a 32-inch smart TV. The upper floor, where the bedrooms are located, is accessed via a flight of about 10 steps; on the right we will find the largest room equipped with a king size bed and a cot. Furnished in shabby chic style with a large wardrobe with six doors and a chest of drawers. Wrought iron wall mirror, two bedside tables and wall lamp. From the window of this bedroom you can observe the panorama with the surrounding mountains and the nearby hamlet of Polvano. Crossing the corridor we find the bathroom equipped with bidet, sink with large mirror, toilet and practical walk-in shower. A peculiarity of this room is the chandelier, made using a glass and ceramic oil lamp from the 1920s and 1930s. Finally, the second bedroom with queen size bed, completely furnished with 1950s furniture, equipped with a 4-door wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror, two bedside tables with wall lamps, straw chair and iron headboard with handcrafted decorations. Outside the house you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place by taking advantage of the iron table equipped with 4 comfortable chairs and two other armchairs. The patio is also at your disposal, where the cellar, the former granary (converted to a shed) and the old wood-burning oven (not usable) are located, where the women of the past cooked their dishes on festive occasions. In this area you will find the barbecue and two comfortable reclining deck chairs. The structure is also equipped with a solar thermal system, which guarantees the production of hot water by exploiting the heat of the sun. Inside the house you will find maps of Castiglion Fiorentino and its surroundings in order to organize your day trips, to discover the localities and culinary specialties of the place. Also about 5 minutes away you will find an excellent grocery store. At 7 minutes you will find a restaurant with take-away pizza or dinner on site with typical cuisine.
