Just 40 minutes from West Seattle by ferry, this waterfront home feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This newly updated 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is ideal for families, couples or friend getaways. Listen to the waves crashing as the tide goes in and out, keep an eye out for friendly seals, and at night, enjoy the moonlight shimmering across the water. Enter the home and immediately your eye is drawn to the generous living room with a wall of windows overlooking the Sound and plenty of seating for a group. There are spectacular views from every angle. We frequently see an abundance of sea birds, seals, and otters, with occasional visits from porpoises, orcas and even humpback whales! Our purposefully appointed kitchen features a gas range with an electric oven, microwave, blender, toaster and a Nespresso machine so you can start every morning with the perfect cozy espresso beverage. You will find ample storage in the pantry with plenty of room to unpack groceries and supplies for your stay. A carefully curated cookware collection ensures you have everything you need to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal. Just off the kitchen, the dining room features a beautiful live-edge walnut table and seating for eight with the same stunning expansive views of the Sound. Two bedrooms feature king-sized beds and 43” smart TVs. A third bedroom has two twin-sized beds. A fourth bedroom is located in a separate area beside the front door, a mother in law space. It also features a king size bed and desk. Our bedding is high thread count, 100% pima cotton. Our mattresses are medium-firm with proper encasements and high end padding. All bedrooms feature room darkening curtains. It is extremely quiet here on Maury; you will sleep well! Our large waterfront deck includes built-in benches and a large teak table with seating for eight. Or you can choose to relax in the pair of chaise lounges or hammock and wait for the local seals to pop their heads up to say hello. We have a propane BBQ grill for your use along with a fire pit at the water's edge surrounded by Adirondack chairs for your entire group. At low tide, the beach can be accessed by a set of sturdy metal stairs just off the bulkhead. Bring your galoshes or beach shoes and explore the tidal pools or take a 20 minute walk down the beach to check out the Point Robinson Lighthouse on the eastern tip of Maury Island. Our laundry station with front loading washer and dryer is just off the kitchen with a butcher block counter to make folding easy. High speed internet is provided but note that due to our location and “island conditions,” we occasionally experience network congestion. Ample parking is available on the property, just steps from the front door to facilitate loading/unloading. If accessibility is a concern, please note that while the home is one level, there are two steps you will climb to access the front entry.
