The house and stunning property was gorgeous with a nice overlook of lake Superior. The hosts were responsive and communication was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

I signed up for a place for 10 persons, very clear in my email. The place advertised 5 bedrooms, 2 with lofts “great for kids”, and a hot tub off the master bedroom. Paid my large deposit 1 year ahead. 3 days before arrival email says hot tub cannot be used (it is empty of water and padlocked closed) and the house is licensed for 6 guests. There were not towels enough for all of us and the children had to sleep with no sheets. The ladders to the lofts were taken down and the lofts were inaccessible. The water from the taps was yellow and the host never responded to my email asking if the water was potable. We purchased bottled water. I left a written note of my concerns asking for a response because my email was not responded to. Have heard nothing. I asked air b&b if there was some way to discuss issues with owner or host other than going public. No response to either. It is a nice family space if they provide some linens, but is seriously misrepresented in the posting ad.

Kelley was very kind and helpful through the issues we had during our stay. Communication could have been faster as there were some urgent matters. She was kind enough to let us check in early though! The driveway was very narrow and not plowed well (we stayed in the winter). If you plan on having the full 10 people, I would recommend carpooling as all 9 of our cars couldn’t fit in the driveway. After expressing my concerns after our stay, she was very professional and helpful in resolving those matters. I do hope the issues we came across are addressed for future guests. The view is AMAZING though! Sunrise over Lake Superior was breathtaking! And the beds were very comfortable!

My family stayed at Kelley’s place this past weekend and here is my full review: Pros; Stunning views, very spacious, private, perfect location to and from Duluth/Two Harbors, very comfortable beds and furniture overall, kitchen has everything you could need, and high chair for babies! Kelley is responsive and gives detailed instructions before your stay. Cons; The driveway was not plowed very well and one of the vehicles did get stuck, lightbulbs burnt out in the master bathroom, fireplace is listed as an amenity but we are not able to use it, and it gets VERY warm in the house. Overall, we had an excellent stay and I would recommend Kelley’s place to friends. Very beautiful and very clean!
