Escape the city and stay at this rural apartment on a working horse farm. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the country while being an easy distance from both Richmond and Charlottesville. This is a studio apartment over a small horse barn. While horses are peaceful creatures they will make some noise when they are in the bar. While we intentionally have horses, dogs, cats, geese, ducks and chickens, the farm is also home to squirrels, rabbits, mice, various wild birds and the occasional rat snake. There might also be some bugs that sneak into the apartment as you go in and out. The farm is in the country, and you will experience the typical country sounds of dogs, horses, cows, geese, chickens, tractors, the occasional far-off gun shots and neighbors enjoying their backyards.

A relaxing stay during a work trip. Amazingly comfortable bed - like being on a marshmallow! The horses and various other animals at the farm were a delightful bonus. Will return if work brings us back to the area again.

The apartment is above a horse barn in the sleepy small town of Hadensville, Virginia. The property is just minutes off of Interstate 64 but is directly surrounded by country homes. This is the perfect halfway point between Richmond and Charlottesville, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy both cities during their stay.

We are in the country and it is unlikely that there will be any ride share options. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for country living without having to venture very far off the main thoroughfares.
