Sunshine Villa is an all-year destination for those wishing to disconnect and get close to nature. Interior This enchanting 1-bedroom villa covers 100m2 and boasts a cozy living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. The quaint cottage-style architecture and rustic wooden accents create a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a romantic couple getaway or a private and comfortable stay for a three-membered family (one guest can be accommodated in the living room sofa). With its combination of stylish decor, modern amenities, and excellent location, Sunshine Villa is a place where you can relax after a long day of sightseeing around the island. Ground floor The living room, as the rest of the Villa, is decorated in a boho, yet rustic style and it features a 50’’ smart TV with Netflix, A/C, comfy seating area with a sofa, armchair and coffee table and an open fireplace. A bluetooth speaker and board games are also available for stay-in nights. The fully equipped, single line kitchen provides everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including built-in appliances and an adjacent indoor dining table for 4. The villa also features a modern and elegant bathroom with shower cabin on the ground floor. Finally, two different doors, offer direct access to the pool terrace. First floor A wooden floating staircase leads to the upper floor, where the attic-style bedroom is located, equipped with a comfortable queen-size bed (1,80 x 2,00), complete with luxurious linens and fluffy pillows, promising a restful night's sleep. Additionally, there’s plenty of closet space for your belongings, as well as a safety box, 43’’ smart TV, ceiling fan, A/C, vanity and a washing machine. An en-suite bathroom with double sinks and shower cabin with hydromassage column id also available. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling while sipping your morning coffee on the pool terrace overlooking the picturesque scenery. Exterior With its idyllic setting, nestled in the heart of nature, Sunshine Villa will make you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale, being the perfect place for you bask in the warm sunshine and soak up the beauty of the natural surroundings. Moreover, this breathtaking villa enjoys stunning natural views, with majestic mountains and a glistening sea in the distance. In the evening, the terrace transforms into a magical haven, illuminated by the soft glow of the twinkling stars above. With the sound of crickets chirping in the background, you can cuddle up with your partner and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun dip below the horizon and create some unforgettable memories. The outdoor area covers 500m2 and offers many facilities including: - A private, 48 sq.m. swimming pool with waterfall and hydromassage function, 1,5 m deep. The pool area is equipped with 2 sun beds, 2 chaise longues, a hammock, side tables, a poolside shower and an umbrella so you can enjoy the pool all day long at comfort. - An outdoor living room which is second to none. Under an impressive wooden pergola guests will find a gas BBQ with sink, round outdoor dining area for 4, seating areawith 2 sofas and coffee table, as well as a 75’’ TV. - The terrace is beautifully landscaped and adorned with trees, flowers and well manicured lawn covered areas. - Parking space for one car inside the Villa premises. - The whole Villa is fully fenced and has a gated entrance offering security and full privacy to our guests. This home has beautiful views, stunning pool, and wonderful furniture.
This was a magical place. Tucked up in the hills and close to a tiny village. The Ancient city of Eleutherna is nearby and we spent days exploring it. Sunshine Villa is very romantic, and perfect for two people, with everything you'll need. We were surprised to find the bed was a very large king sprinkled with local flowers. We were greeted by Amara, who was fabulous, and showed us where everything was then brought us little presents during our stay. We shopped for local produce in the nearby village, cooked fabulous meals in the great kitchen, walked up the hill to meet a local ceramicist, and had drinks with some locals. Everything is as it looks in the photos, and the views from the property are incredible. There are peaceful sounds of grazing sheep nearby and the soft chanting of monks from a lovely little monastery down the road. Our only suggestion is for a few hooks in the bedroom for hanging towels - otherwise, perfection! Thank you!
Spectacular. Everything. All of it. It was like a real fairytale dream. My heart felt instantly at home. We travelled from Australia to stay here and we were blown away from how beautiful the villa was, the gardens, the view. The design is incredible, the colours, the textures and we were given gifts of wine and fruit upon arrival. The local village is gorgeous. And every question we had was answered immediately. The host was incredibly helpful. We were excited about the fire place and the hammock which were in the pictures but sadly the fireplace is for display purposes only and there was no hammock. It is to be noted that this really did not distract from the gorgeous and incredible fairytale villa. Thankyou for what you have created. Your villa will forever remain one of our fondest memories of travel, Greece and Europe
Sunshine Villa lived up 100% to our expectations. It was exactly as pictured. He hosts were nearby and flexible and responsive to any of our needs. The lovely village nearby was walkable with plenty of tavernas and the shops were quaint. We highly for a couples escape!

The villa is situated in the peaceful area of Margarites village. The village of Margarites is south east from Rethymnon town in the centre of the island of Crete. Located in picturesque green rolling hills, the village is well known for its pottery and attracts many visitors in the busy season.
The tradition of pottery goes back many generations in this village and you will be able to find an elder to show you how the pots are hand thrown. The village which has some extraordinary architecture and lovely narrow winding streets is well worth exploring. There are also some Venetian doorways, Byzantine churches and plenty of traditional taverns and cafés to relax in and perhaps to try a Greek coffee. Margarites village also has some essential shops such as mini markets, taverns and a bakery.
Another nearby living area is the town of Perama which is around 4.5 km away and it has bigger supermarkets, pharmacies, cafes, butcher and fishmonger, etc.
Additionally the villa is 14 km away from Skaleta sandy beach and 11 km from Panormo sandy beach!
If you are looking for privileges that only a big city can offer, then Rethymno town is 23 km away and offers unique facilities and a wide variety of entertainment.
Finally, there are also opportunities for guests to explore surrounding areas such as historical monastery of Arkadi (20 km), Ancient Eleftherna and its museum (6 km), Melidoni or Zoniana Caves (9.8 km and 26 km) and Anogia village (32.5 km).
Furthermore due to the village location and the topography of the area, there are many beautiful hiking paths. E4 paths start from Margarites village and reach up to Ancient Eleftherna.
