No puedo valorar el alojamiento. El propietario tuvo problemas con el nivel del agua de los backwatters y no pudo alojarnos. Nos lo comunico dos días antes. Buscamos otro alojamiento. Pero Vinod no podía anular la reserva, así que se comprometió devolvernos el dinero. Gestionó con el nuevo alojamiento la devolución en efectivo del importe integro de la reserva. Detalle a tener en cuenta, ya que podríamos haber estado días con mails y tiempo perdido. Gracias

Vinod was extremely helpful when we were unable to stay at his property following the floods. He arranged for us to stay at a different guesthouse and was very kind and generous with his advice . Will definitely be coming back !

The most authentic backwater village experience! Anand and his family are the kindest, most hospitable people we've met across our travels in India. From the day we arrived we were made to feel really comfortable and treated like royalty being served delicious home cooked Keralan dishes on our balcony overlooking the stunning backwaters. The meals cost very little, less than any restaurant so it's definitely worth eating in! There's quite alot of insects which is totally understandable given the location and is a small price to pay for how incredible everything else but if you're planning on staying we'd reccomend bringing some strong deet insect repellent! The room is very basic, don't be expecting a comfy bed and its about 30 minutes by bus / ferry(only 7 rupees and really fun way to get in in the city!) away from Alleppy centre, but there is a small shop in walking distance. But really if you're wanting a luxury stay close to the city then this isn't the place for you, however if you do want to immerse yourself in village life and culture and really experience life on the backwaters then we couldn't recommend the white house more, we stayed for 1 week and could have stayed longer! Annand helped us organise everything, the canoeing trip is well worth it and we loved walking round the local village and just sitting by the water, watching the fisherman, traditional houseboats and even the adorable little school ferry go by. The villagers and neighbors are so friendly but it's really Anand and his lovely family that make this place so special. It's an experience that'll stay with you forever! -Bring insect repellent -Go on the canoe trip -Ask to go on a local walk -Visit the art cafe called kream corner in Alleppy centre, it's lovely! -Avoid Alleppy beach and instead go to Miraji beach - much nicer!

Vinod’s place is beautiful, homely and very peaceful. His family were very hospitable and the room was very comfortable and clean. Don’t come here expecting hustle and bustle from the town, come expecting calming water views and walks in the local area and around the waterways. The home cooking was delicious too. Thanks!

Great location in the heart of the backwaters, very peaceful. Vinod was super nice and very hospitable. I only stayed one night in the end but will come back again for longer next time.
