Stony Brook Cottage exceeds expectations in every way!! It is a beautiful setting on a wooded bluff above a scenic river. Easy to find with gps and plenty of parking. The cottage is beautifully renovated with immaculate and comfortable decor and furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to prepare meals, have fresh morning coffee and Jason even provides snacks! Nice toiletries in the bathroom too! Everything about this cottage is very comfortable and high quality! Communication with Jason was so easy and friendly. We will definitely be looking for an opportunity to come back! Thank you, Jason!

Jason was great from check in to check out. He checked in a few times to see if there was anything we needed and set up the fire pit quickly. The house was clean and well kept. Check in was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again!

The cottage was perfect and larger inside than we thought. We were very cozy and enjoyed the private location. We stayed to be close to family and visit the local area. Everything inside the cottage was easy to find and use. We loved the decoration and finishing touches. Hope to stay again so we can enjoy the wilderness more. Highly recommend Jason as a friendly and helpful host for offering a lovely cabin.

Jason was an awesome host!! The cabin is amazing and the attention to detail is seen and felt throughout. We have stayed in our fair share of rentals and this was by far the cleanest (I’d go so far as to say immaculate) place we have ever rented. The craftsmanship of the home can be seen with every detail and the perfection with which the home was built is the same perfection with which Jason welcomes his guests. So many details are overlooked with rentals these days but not at the cabin. From a well thought out welcome packet outlining any question a renter may have, to the small, tactful labeling of light fixtures allowing one to know which fixture operates which set of lights, there seems to be nothing Jason hasn’t thought of. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and obvious attention to detail that is put into this space. It is serene and peaceful, yet close enough to great outdoor activities and all Pittsburgh has to offer. Hope to be in the area to stay again. 10 out of 10!

We stayed at Jason’s cottage for the first 4 nights of our trip to see family, then had plans to stay at another airbnb closer to my family’s house for the last 3 nights of the trip. We left Jason’s Monday morning and got to the other Airbnb, whose listing was misleading and found that it was not clean and smelled very bad of horse manure. I didn’t feel comfortable staying there, so we checked to see if Jason’s place was still available, and it was! We booked it out of there so fast and came right back to Jason’s place where we felt at home! We were so relieved to be back, and Jason was so welcoming and kind. You will not find a cleaner place than this, and the beautiful serene atmosphere is icing on the cake. Loved how close to hiking and state parks this is as well. We will definitely be staying here the next time we come out to visit family!
