Gyffin · 整套乡村小屋 · 3室5床2.0卫 · 可住7人 · Bryn Dowsi, Family Farm Stay in the Conwy Valley
Bryn Dowsi is an old farmhouse which has been recently renovated, along with three other dwelling to create four magnificent holiday cottages. Situated in the Conwy Valley, surrounded by peaceful countryside and only a short distance away from the town of Conwy, Bryn Dowse can sleep up to 7 people in three bedrooms. The cottage is found on an organic working farm, where sheep and Welsh Black cattle are raised. Each of the four cottages is designed to offer personal privacy and all have a wide view of the valley, and Bryn Dowse is no exception. This is the perfect spot for a family vacation, giving kids the opportunity to observe animals and discover farm life throughout the four seasons. This original farmhouse property contains many traditional elements, such as exposed beams and a large inglenook fireplace. The house has been consistently renovated throughout the years. It contains three bedrooms, one of which with an ensuite shower room, family bathroom (with a whirlpool bath and separate shower), and downstairs there is a large kitchen-diner, a lounge with the inglenook fireplace; a peaceful sitting room with a bay window overlooking the Valley towards Tal y Fan mountain. All the necessary amenities and mod cons are available, with the use of a dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, microwave, video, CD music centre, and there is also a TV in all bedrooms with DVD player too. Outdoor furniture and a barbecue are provided for the enclosed garden. There is WiFi throughout the property. Bed linen and an initial supply of logs for the fire are also provided. On the premises, there is a shared laundry room with washer and dryer, a 5/6 person sauna with shower and changing room, and a heated games room (table tennis, etc.) with internet access that can be used by all the occupants of the cottages.
The Conwy Valley is an intriguing area, very different to the rough, tough rocky mountains of neighbouring Snowdonia. The River Conwy flows through a broad, sheltered vale carpeted with rich farmland. It’s flanked on the west by thick forests and to the east by the heather moors and woods of Hiraethog (otherwise known as the Denbigh Moors), a huge expanse of unexplored upland. All in all, it’s an area of great variety, with tumbling falls, wooded gorges, mountain lakes, high moorland and a charming stretch of the North Wales coast. There’s also a great choice of places to stay – everything from traditional market towns and villages to seaside resorts.
There are good road links to and from Conwy and across North Wales, as well as seasonal public transport routes for tourists, and good local taxi firms. The nearest train station is Conwy which is on the Crewe to Holyhead North Wales coast line.
