New home finished in May 2023! Enjoy a peaceful stay in our brand new home, adjacent to 10,000 acres of pristine National Park forest and hiking trails. Apple Way is a sleepy community at the base of Grandfather Mountain, 10 minutes to Blowing Rock. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway on Holloway Mountain Rd, we are only 15 minutes to Grandfather Mountain and Appalachian Ski Mountain, and 20 minutes to Boone. We are minutes to Price Lake, Bass Lake, Cone Manor, and the Linn Cove Viaduct.

What a lovely place for relaxation and privacy all while being a short drive from area attractions and eateries. The place was beautiful, clean and spacious. The hosts were very responsive and ensured I had a great stay. You won't be disappointed with this lovely mountain retreat.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Grey Haven! The house was clean and spacious for our group of 4 adults and 3 children. John and Jennifer were very helpful and responsive before and during the stay. The location to Blowing Rock, the parkway and Grandfather Mountain was amazing! We made a lot of great memories here and look forward to returning!
Good, clean central location in WNC for exploring the area
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at John Jennifer’s mountain home. It was a perfect location for blowing Rock & Boone for restaurants and skiing. If we are in the mountains again this is the place we will stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay, John.

Apple Way is a small, quiet community of mostly full-time residents, adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is named for the Apple Trees throughout the neighborhood that were once part of the Cone Orchards. Quiet time is from 9 pm to 7 am, and must be carefully observed. No loud outdoor music is allowed, no parties or gatherings. Outdoor house lights should be turned off.
Upon entering Apple Way, keep to the left (clockwise). Grey Haven is the fifth residence on the left, in the middle of the curve. A gravel parking area with cross-ties allows for three parking places.
