The House - Spacious kitchen, gas tops, 900mm oven, dishwasher - Laundry with washer and dryer, guest fridge - Large 8-seat dining table - Outdoor coal BBQ, lawn, table, chairs, decking -living room tv available both upstairs and downstairs has Amazon, Netflix and Disney+ The Area We are located in Melbourne's prestigious Sanctuary Lakes Golf Estate in Point Cook. Beautiful city, bay and water views and wetlands await you. - 1-min walk to the beautiful lake within the estate - 1-min walk to public transport - 5-min drive to shops - 10-min drive to Victoria University - 30-min drive to Melbourne CBD - 45-min drive to Geelong. On the way from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road, Lorne, Apollo Bay, 12 Apostilles & the Otway National Park. You are free to utilise the downstairs kitchen, bathroom, laundry and living area, and the upstairs guest bathroom and living area at your convenience. The upstairs living area has a couch and a smart TV. The home has ducted heating and evaporative cooling throughout, as well as a split heating/cooling system downstairs and an additional portable air conditioner upstairs if required (subject to availability). Our kitchen is nice and spacious which you are free to use and cook in. We provide all the kitchen amenities (no groceries provided) to make your cooking easy, and you are welcome to use our basic staples including bread, milk, jam, cereal, seasoning and condiments. We have a guest fridge located in the laundry (next to the kitchen) which you may use at your convenience. There is also a herb garden outside which you are free to use. You have access to our estate's 18-hole world-class golf course (paid), driving range (paid), and only 1-minute walk to our beautiful lakes, sandy beaches, BBQ facilities, beach volleyball, children's play equipment and outdoor exercise park. Behind our home are beautiful wetlands with walking/biking tracks to the Point Cook Homestead, Port Phillip Bay, Altona or Point Cook Beach and more. The wetlands are renowned for birdwatching, literally over the fence. Only 3-minute's drive to the clubhouse restaurant, cafe and bar. A great selection of cafes surround the area. Ask us for tips on where to go. Sites such as Werribee Mansion, Shadowfax winery and Werribee open range zoo are under 15-minutes away. A beautifully manicured backyard to enjoy at your leisure, including a Komodo coal-fired BBQ. Please purchase your own coal if you wish to use the BBQ, and ask for assistance. Your bright, comfortable room will have freshly laundered, high thread count sheets on the bed with an assortment of pillows for your comfort. For stays longer than 7-days, we are happy to provide you with fresh bed sheets for you to change. If you would like to change your sheets more often, a $20 laundering charge will apply. There is no charge for you to use the laundry to wash and dry your clothes as you need. As we have children (aged 9, 5 and 2), smoking, drinking or any inappropriate behaviour around children is strictly prohibited. Excessive noise (such as loud music or watching tv with the volume very high) is also prohibited. Please keep noise to a minimum after 8-pm, as this is when our children go to bed. We also have a small and friendly old dog named Sam, who is outside most of the time and sleeps outside. We welcome you to bring your pet with you during your stay, provided it is friendly and ok to be around a small dog and small children. Your pet must remain outside for the duration of your stay, not inside the home. We have a dog kennel available. Please ensure you clean up any litter. Feeding your pet and otherwise looking after it will be your responsibility. We like to get to know our guests and enjoy interacting and having a chat to get to know you, even if your stay is short. Please feel free to ask us anything to help your stay be more comfortable. This is a family home and we all use the common areas as you would expect in a family home, including the guest bathroom. We ask that you please keep the common areas neat and tidy after using them, eg. the bathroom, toilets and kitchen. Your room has a fan for cooling. We also have a ducted evaporative cooler upstairs which we keep on on any warm days or nights to cool the 2nd story. For this to work well you need to leave your window slightly ajar. We have a portable refrigerative air conditioner you may use as well if the ducted evap cooling isn’t enough (subject to availability). Heating is ducted and we always keep the house to a minimum of 18 degrees in the colder months. Please note, Port Phillip bay is located just behind our home, as are other water bodies, so sometimes you may smell the ocean. Please refer to the house rules section before requesting a booking.
