My experience was not positive, I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it for long stays. The general cleanliness of the place was not good, they sent me to the cleaner because the shower was very dirty, because the shower does not stop dripping and creates mold. The carpet and bed sheets didn't look very clean either. The door was broken. The kitchen is not equipped for cooking, it has very few utensils and does not have the basics such as oil and salt. The worst thing is that apparently there are bed bugs (I didn't see anything in the bed) but I have marks all over my body and every day I woke up with a new one until I couldn't take it anymore and I had to leave two nights earlier than planned. I had to trash my luggage and pay for special laundry because I'm not taking that to my home. Neither Airbnb nor the owner gave me any solution and I had to pay for a hotel that I had not budgeted for. The place looks like in the pictures but I felt in an abandoned place.

A perfect size apartment for a solo traveller. The central Birmingham location couldn’t be better and the accommodation is situated in a beautiful art deco building. You need a strong arm and shoulder for the main front door but I wouldn’t change it. I appreciate a solid ‘grand’ door. Be sure to check with the host re: workaround for hot water should you find yourself without.
