Fred was very proactive in communicating with me prior to my arrival. The cabin is very private and decorated beautifully with a nautical and Maine themes that complemented each other. The place is perfect for someone looking to get away and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Every night we could here the loons on the pond calling out to one another. We made lasting memories that my kids will be talking about for weeks to come.

This home was the first property I’ve rented where it was a PT residence of the owner. Fred was super friendly, accommodating, and generous. He greeted us upon check-in (also a first for me on a non-hosted home) and walked us through all of the amenities (including his available watercraft, life jackets, fire pit, kindling, campfire wood, two-person hammock, bug repellent—a MUST!—, beach towels, etc.). Fred’s home inside is obviously his current (part-time) residence (photos of family throughout, beautiful collection of lighthouses) and yet it’s comfortable and welcoming. I was beyond grateful that Fred had basic amenities that not all AirBNB properties offer like laundry soap, bug repellant, ziplock bags, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, etc. Overall, the stay was wonderful. I’d recommend this property to outdoor enthusiasts and families. The outdoor features are the highlight of this property and are understated in the description. It’s beautiful.
