•This house was previously listed on Airbnb for several years and hosted many happy guests. It gained a review total of 4.89 from 85 reviews and was listed as a Superhost! We have taken on this property and are also now rated Superhost! The only things we have changed in the cottage are to add extra comfort - new superking mattress in the main bedroom and new living room furniture.
•Free parking at a neighbouring hotel round the corner on Norton Road
•500 yards from Oyster Cottage, in Mumbles village, 2 minutes walk away along 'The Prom', you can dine in style with a view to match at Bistro Pierre. This first-floor restaurant has an alfresco terrace and a glass front. Croseo Lounge serves modern British cuisine and is dog-friendly too - great for a slow breakfast or an easy lunch. La Perilla brings Mediterranean sophistication to Mumbles. All three venues have stunning sea views across Swansea Bay to Devon beyond. Take your cocktails onto the glass terrace at high tide to watch the water skiers glide by on glassy waters.
•Grab some fish and chips from award-winning Johnnies and sit on the sea wall watching the yachts race across the bay. It's also hard to beat the freshly caught local seafood cooked to order from Mumbles Seafood Shack right on The Prom - this may just win over your taste buds.
•Joes Ice Cream Parlour in the village vies with Verdi's Cafe along the Prom for the best Italian homemade ice cream, both are delicious and will have you coming back for just one more scoop.
•Dog friendly Langland Cafe is a local favourite, every morning you are guaranteed a tasty breakfast and always great coffee. Summer on the terrace and winter around the log burner this spot is perfect all year round. At the other end of Langland Bay, The Brasserie is a magic spot for sundowners while the children finish just one more sandcastle on the beach below.
•Sunday wouldn't be Sunday without Sunday lunch. Norton House Hotel is the place to go, just around the corner on Norton road.
•Always a vibrant place, you will be spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes, galleries, quality boutiques, independent delis, grocers, traditional pubs, and bars just along 'The Prom' as it is affectionately known around these parts.
•The cottage is in a great spot for beach goers, walkers and cyclists. Mumbles Pier and Lifeboat Station are an easy stroll away along The Promenade, from here you can take the coastal path to Limeslade Bay and on further still to Langland and Caswell Bays. Strikeout eastwards along The Prom to Swansea Marina, an interesting destination about 5 miles away along the Promenade. Here you can discover why Wales' greatest poet Dylan Thomas loved this town at The Dylan Thomas Centre and delve into the seafaring and industrial heritage of Swansea at The Maritime Museum, both new and vibrant visitor centre.

There is free on street parking nearby Oyster Cottage.
There is easy access to Swansea city centre and to the Gower Peninsula by bus - the bus stop is right outside our house.
