Colin and Alexandra welcomed us into their unique home with warm smiles and a lovely energy that made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were yummy and accompanied with many stories about plants, berries, nature, Romanian history, art and philosophy. Home made jams and teas were served with informative horticultural description and more stories! Food for Body and Mind. Their 2 story "Plant Room" is an oasis of Life. Check out the Fig Trees! We chose the BnB to observe the Total Solar Eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The other guests had driven from Winnipeg to see the Moon cover the Sun. Colin and Alexandra's spacious property was perfect for observing the whole sky and horizon. We made new friends and all of us had a very memorable experience in the Shadow of the Moon. Alexandra's pre-eclipse dance helped keep the clouds away. Thanks for a wonderful stay. As Colin said, we are now bonded by a shared Eclipse Experience. Great Hosts!

A Peaceful Retreat at the Lakeside Cabin Our weekend escape to a cozy cabin by the lake, along with two friends, was an experience wrapped in tranquility and comfort. Upon arrival, the cabin’s exterior, reminiscent of a quaint retreat. Th cosy sunroom became our favorite spot, basking in natural light, offering an unobstructed view of the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped, turning meal preparation into a joyful group activity. Our hosts deserve special recognition for their exceptional hospitality. They ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing a comprehensive guidebook for local attractions and eateries. Their approach to hosting was impeccable, balancing helpfulness with respect for our privacy. In summary, this lakeside cabin was a gem. Th natural beauty and excellent hospitality provided the perfect weekend. Ideal for those seeking a break from the hustle of everyday life. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Colin!

Colin and Alex's house is remarkably welcoming with so many different spaces to relax and view Lake Erie and their interesting property, especially a balcony overlooking the lake and their conservatory where they nurture myriad plants. The photos are accurate and the accommodations are wonderful and private - bedrooms, bathroom, sitting area, and balcony. Great for a family or for single travelers. The surrounding area offers great opportunities for walking and biking through the area. Colin and Alex offer interesting insights into life in Canada and Southern Ontario and are really engaging hosts and conversationalists. It was difficult for me to say goodbye and be on my way. Breakfast was great and they were more than caring and attentive hosts. Highly recommend a stay!

Colin&Alexandra are amazing hosts . From the beginning they make you feel welcomed and want to make sure you have a pleasant stay. We booked the artist retreat for the weekend during the February to disconnect and escape the city and we couldn’t be happier we did so. The rooms are spacious and clean with a large balcony overlooking Erie lake and the home cooked breakfast was delicious. The glass sunroom is nice place to read a book while sipping from your favourite beverage if weather isn’t cooperating . The location is close to Selkirk provincial park, Peacock Point , Port Dover and Dunville so lots of restaurant within a short driving distance . We are looking forward to book artist retreat in the summer so we can take our bikes with us and ride along Lake Erie . Strongly recommend them !
