Beautiful home, walking distance to private beach. The kitchen is full of amenities and cooking essentials. It was a perfect home for a quick Michigan getaway.

Loved our stay. Perfectly accommodated our family of 8 (three kids) with room to spare. We loved the bocce court for play, made good use of the fire pit for s’mores, and took advantage of all the beach supplies - wagon, cooler, chairs, toys, lily pad - they thought of everything! We also cooked our entire stay and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and sheets soft - and love that they were all kings ! We look forward to staying again.

We had a great stay at "Lakeside Living" - the house is really accomodating for a group like ours that included three generations of our family. Lots of room to gather and lots of room to spread out! Nothing lacking as far as the acoutrements needed for a week's stay! Everything was top notch as far as comfort, style and cleanliness. With our group that included four children under the age of 3...we enjoyed the turfed bocce court especially - perhaps not for its intended use, though. It made for a great outdoor play space for the little ones! Although there's a beach in walking distance, we mostly visited the public beach down the road (bikeable or driveable) because it was easier to haul the little ones plus their gear down the more gradual incline. Both beaches were great this year with gradual slopes out into the water, making for great fun in the water. Highly recommend!

Our family had the best time staying at Ellen’s! The house exceeded our expectations! Most houses don’t have a bocce court/putting green which makes this home stand out. My 6 year old granddaughter became a bocce master! Also lots of places, inside and out, to spread out if you wanted to break off by yourself or gather as a family! We spent almost every night around the fire pit and 5 out 6 days at the private beach which is only a couple of blocks away. (spoiler alert: there are over 100 steps to get down to it but definitely worth it, and a good workout). We honestly hated to leave and hope to be able to come back next summer! Ellen was very accommodating and quick to respond!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. The weather was cold and rainy - and yet we had the time of our lives. We were three moms and five kids ranging from 1 year to 16. Without beach weather, we filled our days with games, walks, reading, cooking together, talent shows, movies, exploring the area, and much more. The house was big enough that we could spread out if we wanted but mostly spent hours together on the heated porch or the front porch watching the kids play on the bocce ball court. Finally - the house. No detail was spared. From the heavenly king beds and bedding, the dimmers on every light, providing spices for cooking, and the biggest washing machine I've ever seen in a house - it was all there to make us feel at home and cozy. Also - this is a brand new home! Everything is brand new! I just hope the house does not become so popular that we aren't able to return next year. :-) Thank you so much, Todd and Ellen!!!
