We loved our stay. The lava truck was very warm and cozy; Audur was very helpful. The aurora was visible from the driveway on our clear night. We loved the location. It was east to go both east and west from the truck. Would definitely recommend. Best suited for a couple. We’re long time friends and travel buddies who are very comfortable with each other, so we were ok, but new friends or less intimate travel buddies might find it less suitable.

Audur's Lava Truck is situated in an absolutely beautiful location. The space is extremely clean, well laid out, and every detail has been considered. She was very communicative and always available to give recommendations for local attractions and to answer any questions. A truly memorable experience. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful, other-worldly location. We could see eleven waterfalls from our porch. Very thoughtful host with expert knowledge of local environment. This creative and interesting space is rich with thoughtful details. Audur even remembered I was celebrating my 60th birthday and gifted me local artisan items. We would definitely return!

Audur was fabulous. She gave us suggestions and was very knowledgeable about all my Icelandic questions. The lava truck was our favorite place we stayed, it was so unique and perfectly comfortable.

Once in a lifetime experience with this location. Audur was phenomenal; so incredibly wonderful and knowledgeable and helpful and welcoming. Pick this place, you will not regret it. Definitely the space is maxed out at 2 people, but if you are looking to get away from everything in the most peaceful environment possible, this is it. The location is convenient to so many of the Southern Coast sights and activities.
