Kársstaðir is nicely located only 5 minutes from the town Kirkjubæjarklaustur. It is a 25 year old summerhouse that we have renovated to more modern, yet romantic Scandinavian farm house decor. The location is quite unique, in the middle of volcanic pseudos with a perfect view over Vatnajökull to the east and Mýrdalsjökull to the west. We wanted it to feel more like a home, since we lived there for 5 years. The house has a big backyard, and a patio that goes all around the house. We have some benches and tables to enjoy nice weather outside. There is a private entrance into the house and you walk into a small entrance way, where you can leave shoes and jackets. The house has a fully equipped kitchen located in the common area along with the living room. There is also a bathroom with a shower, and two bedrooms . The master bedroom has a queen size bed (180cm) , the other bed room has a small double bed (130cm) and a single bunk bed above it (90cm).
