Superb remote location in Cambrian mountain scenery. Located in the beautiful Doethie Valley. Panoramic views from the hut. Excellent walking and mountain biking right from the door. The Cambrian Way long-distance path goes past the hut. Self-contained timber shepherd's hut, with its own shower room and kitchen area. Has a double bed and a bed settee, table and 4 chairs. All-electric with underfloor heating. Kitchen area has microwave/grill, hob, fridge, and sink. Shower room has electric shower, toilet, washbasin. Stands in the garden of Tyncornel hostel, the most remote hostel in Wales.
Enjoyed staying the night the hut was lovely an the location was peaceful a well needed rest
Wonderful location, really peaceful and quiet. Only us and the warden there, who was very helpful. Definitely recommend if you want to get away from civilization.
Beautiful location, peaceful. Anne ( the warden) was very helpful and welcoming! The hut was just like the pictures and very clean.
Stayed for a short one night stopover. Fantastically peaceful location. This is rural Wales. Not sure we could have stayed for too long as we would have struggled without wifi and phone reception but it was great for a single night stay. The hut was very clean and comfortable. Facilities were better than we might have expected. Very new with a good shower and cooking facilities. Welcomed by the hostel warden who showed us around the adjacent hostel which we were welcome to use, including sitting around wood burner in the communal area. There were no guests in the hostel when we stayed.
