Richard is a great host, easy to communicate and work with. I was in the area for a temporary work assignement and found Richard's apartment to be a great location to get around the city. Finding free, all day parking was quite easy on a side street.
This little studio is great. Very trendy vibe that makes it way more pleasant than a generic Air BNB. You got the sense that the place was owned by a real person who is dedicated to making a really nice space. Lots of great food in the area and the trolly only took 15 mins to center city. Great deal.
My husband and I stayed at Richard's place during Thanksgiving. The apartment was walking distance from my mom's house. The street is actually more peaceful than my mom's street! I really liked the set up, we had all we needed. The bed was confortable, which is important to me for a good night sleep. There are a couple of cute coffee places and restaurants in the area. West philly is a lot of fun in that sense. We walked to Clark park on Saturday to see the farmers market and we took another walk to the cemetery 15-20mins away (which believe it or not is very interesting, as some famous people are buried there and it has interesting trees). I have stayed in several Airbnbs in Philly and this is the most convenient option I have found so far. I would stay here again if I have a chance. Thank you Richard for being so responsive and answering my questions during the holiday.

I have lived in the Philadelphia area for the past about 26 years, coming by way of immigration a year before. I own a few other businesses, also in the area, including real estate. My involvement with Airbnb was, like most of my business ventures, borne out of curiosity. A unit was available and I wanted to see what will happen if I listed it on Airbnb. The drive to do well in anything kind of took over from there.
