This is a unique self-catering property, owned by Atholl Estates, located in a secluded part of lower Strathtay amidst woodland, farmland and moorland. It is ideal for a holiday break up to 10 guests in the main house and two in a separate annexe. Convalloch has an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with a wood-burning stove. There are doors which open out to a grass terrace. There's also a separate drawing room with TV and DVD player. You are welcome to bring your own cook or alternatively we can recommend one. Tennis players will appreciate the tennis court and nature lovers can discover the many acres of specially designated land nearby. Fishers can take advantage of hill loch and salmon fishing, both a few minutes' drive from the door. The lodge is a 15 minute drive to Blair Castle where you can visit 750 years of history over 30 rooms on a self guided tour, you will also find the Castle shop selling Scottish products and the Tullibardine Restaurant serving hot and cold food, specialty teas and coffees and home baking. The lodge is 15 miles from the House of Bruar and 4 miles from Pitlochry. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness are all within 90 minutes. Atholl estates has activities available to book via the website.

was a fabulous house for a big group over xmas. Even though there was 12 of us there was enough space to never feel cramped and the ‘wings’ meant that each family had their own space and we weren’t on top of each other. The house location was so beautiful and we were lucky that we got snow.
Excellent host, very responsive to any queries and open to all kinds of feedback. Great location: quiet and serene, lots of place to walk and even hike. There were enough things indoors and outdoors to keep the kids busy. Would love to visit again.
It really is a special space, it was perfect for our needs (enchanted Forrest) but I can imagine it being great for walks with friends and pets, fishing and much more in this beautiful rural area.
Lovely big clean house in a beautiful spot. There were 10 of us and there was plenty space. The views are fantastic and we really enjoyed the tennis court too!

On Atholl Estates there are around 45 miles of way marked trails – great for walkers and cyclists. At Blair Castle there is an excellent Trekking Centre where guests can go on a pony trek or a pony ride. Consider a Land Rover Safari, a guided 4x4 journey into the heart of the estate to see its native wildlife. In mid-May the estate takes part in a Nature Festival and at the end of May the Atholl Highlanders Parade and Gathering takes place in the grounds of the castle. In addition, Atholl Estate's Ranger Service hosts lots of activities for outdoor enthusiasts and for families.
In August, Blair Castle International Horse Trials takes place.
Each October, the month-long Enchanted Forest event brings many visitors to the area.
In the wider area, visitors can enjoy traditional Scottish entertainment each Monday during the summer in Pitlochry at the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band's 'Highland Night' show in Pitlochry Recreation Ground.
In Pitlochry and Dunkeld there are many quality restaurants, cafes, shops and small supermarkets.
Due to its seclusion guests will need a vehicle to access the lodge. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are a 90 minute drive away. Cars can be hired from the airports. There are railway stations at both Pitlochry and Dunkeld and a bus stop at nearby Ballinluig.
