Enjoyed our stay, very relaxing, plenty of walks nearby and the garden was fully enclosed, ideal for dogs.

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage with our dog. It's very nice inside and the log fire and hot tub was great for a February stay! The water pressure is low for the shower, but to be expected with the rural location. The cottage location is perfect for walking, it's right on the Pitlochry paths network so lots of options right from the door. We saw red squirrels and deer tracks in the snow! The Black Spout Waterfall is spectacular, especially after a heavy rainfall! You can walk into the town in 20 mins through the woods, lots of nice places to eat. The Moulin Hotel(inn), The Old Smiddy Inn, McKays and Cafe Calluna all dog friendly!

We had an amazing stay at Black Spout. The cottage is immaculate and so well equipped. Some lovely little individual touches too. As dog owners we loved the dog tags with the address and the generous poo bag dispenser in the back garden! The hot tub and outdoor area is fantastic. Having amazing woodland walks literally at the front door was a bonus. We are hoping to come back again in the new year if you will have us. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This was a brilliant find! Black sprout cottage is truly a great mix of being completely secluded yet only 25 min walk to the nearest town. It is quiet, and picturesque with lots of wildlife! It has recently been renovated to a high standard, with everything you need to make your stay perfect. This incudes a log burner and hot tub. It is at the end of a gravel track, but was easily passable despite heavy rain. Because it is marketed via a company communication with the host is a little trickier but they were very responsive to text and email, but any official airbnb communication goes to the third party.

We were very comfortable during our short stay here. It was great to wake up to the view of Ben Vrackie and then hike up it first thing.
