Hello Airbnb community! We've been married and living in bliss in Tofino on Vancouver Island since 2013! :) We have been coming to Tofino since the 1990s as its such a special place! We are both passionate about health, food, adventure, the environment, surfing, biking, travel and meeting other people! Michelle is a Wellness Host & Environmental Consultant. She is schooled in Environmental practice, as well as massage, yoga and nutrition! She also works for a local community foundation who hold the UNESCO designation for Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Region and is a well-loved community builder and storyteller. Don't be surprised if you find yourself signing up to do something amazing! Alan is your main host for Cedarwood Cove, alongside Koli the rescue pup! They will make sure you have everything you need to make your time with us the best. Alan loves everything to do with getting outside, especially mountain biking, any biking! and surf. He's your number one goto for weather updates, bike fixes, where to get coffee, and surf reports. He has an extreme soft spot for dogs and his kindness to people is heartwarming, don't be afraid to hug him. The best experience to have with us at Cedarwood Cove is stand up paddleboarding!! It is hands down the most unique experience you could try!! We are both qualified instructors, so please take a tour with us, we will have you paddling like a pro in no time and you will love the rugged coastline. Together we make great hosts, who love to inspire you to get outside and have fun. We love to laugh and be silly, to share wine and chocolate and listen to your story. We also value your privacy and we too value our solitude. As guests we love to travel via Airbnb as it gives us the best insights on local knowledge. Travelling via Airbnb always feels so homely and comfortable. We like to surf if possible in every place we visit, Costa Rica and Mexico being big favourites. But farm hopping across New Zealand and dancing our way through European festivals, riding Indonesian waves and eating Cornish pasties have left great memories for us as well. We try to minimise our carbon footprint in many ways and do our best to reduce our consumption as well as avoiding as much plastic as possible and aiming for zero waste. Michelle can't live without fresh juice, coconut oil, the ocean, Koli and books. Alan can't live without his bike, potatoes, surfing, tooth floss and Michelle :)
