Friendly & attentive Staff even over Christmas. Home was nice, with a few exceptions being the appliances. The first thing we noticed was the ice maker was not operational although connected to a water supply. For the duration of our stay it remained inoperable despite efforts to fix. Secondly the freezer worked fine, but the refrigerator was barely cool and we found frozen food we had brought spoiled quickly. Soon after, the sink began emitting foul odors despite running the disposal, but with much noise and grinding. The staff had a plumber out the day after Christmas and indications were the part had seized & began to come apart under operation. Thorough vacuuming was needed as we met many alive & dead ladybugs around the living room (which was an issue, with our youngest guest - 17 months old - putting them in his mouth), porch doors, & around the Christmas tree skirt was a lot of debris. Lastly the coat rack was not attached to studs and hanging winter coats caused it to fall.

Great spot in the mountains for a short vacation with the family. Beautiful views off the back porch. Lots of room on the property for my boys to run around and explore in the woods. We enjoyed exploring the Alleghany Highlands nearby with a lot of hiking and outdoor activities. It was a great retreat spot for the family. We would definitely go back.

Very nice place on the top of a hill. Place was clean, fresh towels and linens. Management company was ver responsible. The deck gas fire place t wasn’t hooked up which was a bummer.
