Janice is a great host and the cabin is in a beautiful location on her family’s farm! The place is so peaceful and a great place to get away! My wife, son and dogs loved it too! We will definitely be back!

Another wonderful trip! This truly is a gem. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. We had so much fun spending the day on the river with our family, then enjoying your beautiful farm and sunsets, and finally topped it off with a fire around the fire pit. This really is the perfect little family getaway. Already planning next summers trip and it can’t get here fast enough!!

The property and cabin were beautiful. Their location on the James was perfect for a cooling break from the city. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay plus extras. I don’t know if Roy is the craftsman, but we could tell a lot of work went into this property and it shows. I do wish I had known they were having a party Friday night, including a DJ. The hostess told us this after our arrival and did invite us to come. We probably would have chosen another time. While the noise was fairly low key, it did make us a little uncomfortable using the boat ramp (cars and trucks coming in with boats and kayaks) and the stair access due to the boats. The hosts seemed rushed when we met them coming in and barely spoke to us when we ran into them again by the dock. We walked away with the feeling that they would have preferred we not be there. I think it’s lovely to have family together and have a place to do it…a heads up would have been nice per a previous comment

Was a wet weekend but we made the best of it and went to Carter’s mountain orchard and Monticello. Great location to float the river !
