my husband stayed at the cabin while out of town working and was happy with his water front stay and nice little clean spot to stay that wasn't a motel. will definitely stay again.

These cabins had an old fish camp feel. These could be so much better with just a few touch ups. Yard needs to be mowed and porches need to be blowed off. Bathroom had ants all on curtains and around sink and window. Spider webs in show with the spiders still in them. The cabins had and old musky smell. Nothing a black ice car scent didn’t get rid of. Location and the checkin along with the employees were great. For the price it’s a decent place.

I arrived at Highland. No one was available to check me in. I called the number on the reservation, and it went to the wrong number. I called Highland's emergency number, and no one picked up. I continued to call the emergency number 10 times (at 8 in the evening, so not at a strange time), and was completely ignored. I gave up, and ended up staying at a hotel. The host refunded my reservation, but I had to pay a premium at a local hotel because I had to make reservations on the spot. What a horrible experience with a poorly run company. The area is quite isolated, and doesn't feel safe at night. Stay somewhere else for your safety!
