My family and I had a wonderful trip to Boca Grande! Duane was extremely responsive throughout our stay and helped us anytime we needed something. The BG Club was perfect - access to the pool, beach & clubhouse was easy and convenient. We would definitely rent from Duane and Darlene in the future.
The club had many wonderful amenities that were at our disposal and its on prettiest, least crowded beach on the island
The Boca Bay Club is a large private development about 3 miles north of historic Boca Grande, on what we think is the prettiest part of the Gasparilla Island beach. The amenities at the club include a top-notch restaurant, excellent workout/fitness facilities and a beautiful beach club/pool, access to all of which is included in the rental for two guests. The villa itself is quite nice, comfortable, and well-located. We rented it with another couple, and one thing we particularly valued was the number of private spaces located throughout the unit. It did not seem crowded at all for the 4 of us, and with a separate bedroom, full bath and deck on the upper floor, it could have accommodated a third couple easily. Although we had been somewhat concerned about the distance from town, it really was not a problem, with easy access by bicycle and golf cart on the nearby path, and easy access by car. We would definitely rent again.
Gasparilla island is a lovely location and one that my family will likely return to, however, I don’t think I would choose this rental property again. The condo had various things that needed to be fixed including furnishings with stains and holes, dirty comforters and blankets, no draperies in the main bedroom which resulted in a lack of privacy given the close proximity of the neighbors, and was overall not cleaned well before we arrived. There were ants in the kitchen and I took various pictures of moldy showers and dirty floors/baseboards. Perhaps most concerning was the fact that on one of the porches, there was no railing on a sliding glass door (definitely not to code), which meant that if you opened the door and stepped out, you would fall two stories to the ground. The owners were kind and mostly responsive but it is clear that they don’t spend a lot of time at the condo and are perhaps relying on a management company that is not doing its job.
Amazing location with multiple pools, tennis courts and the beach all in very close proximity! Relatively spacious condo made it easy to spread out. Some furnishings are very worn and could use a refresh, but besides that, the condo was as depicted. Hosts were very communicative and kind.

We live in Lewisburg, West Virginia and love living in the country. Believe it or not, Our four children have all told us they loved growing up here as well! Travel is one of our favorite things to do. Together we have hiked the Keppler track in New Zealand, walked the Inca Trail to Manchu Pichu, searched for Bengal Tigers in India and stood in awe at the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. We love the sights, sounds, food and friends we meet while traveling. We stay in Airbnbs when we travel and we love hosting guests. Our Airbnb properties are very important to us and are all in places we are connected to and love to be. Our Lewisburg WV property is in the basement of our home, and it is a gorgeous space with even better views. In Boca Grande, we have several flats in the heart of the town. They are a quick walk to the Temp Restaurant, Miller’s or the beach. Our Colorado Springs home is in the Historic district and is just a 3-minute drive to the restaurants and bars of Downtown Colorado Springs. We are outdoor enthusiast who operate a recreational business near each of these locations. We offer our guests discount on any of our company activities which vary depending on the property. We both grew up in Southern California, but left the hectic city life 25 years ago when we had an opportunity to start a Falconry program at The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs WV. After that foray into entrepreneurship, our life has been filled with adventure and fun. Duane is very involved in YPO (Young Presidents Organization) both at a local, regional and international level and loves talking about business and trends. Darlene is our company’s CFO and really is the brains behind our business. Let us share the things we love in each of these special places!
