Decorators dream - adorable and cozy- It is close to town and restaurants- shopping and touring around- Kate was attentive and helpful!

This is such a special little cabin. The decor is charming and the setting is stunning: lake views from every room, and a mountain forest to see from the back of the house. There is everything to facilitate a pleasant stay -a well-equipped kitchen, pretty pottery and linens, a stocked pantry, kayaks and row boat at the dock. The place is also very comfortable and stylish with high end furnishings and bed linens. Camden and Rockport are only minutes away. We came in on a cold, rainy day and appreciated being able to light a cozy fire with the firewood that is provided. I do recommend this place as a special treat. I should also caution you that it is suitable only for people who are fit and fully mobile. There is a steep set of steps up to the cabin and the stairs within the place can be a challenge. It was certainly worth these minor inconveniences.

Kate took great care of us. The cottage is enchanting. We loved the pond and enjoyed swimming and reading on the deck. The sitting room and front porch were also wonderful spaces. Very ample dining space that doubled as a work space-and the beds are super comfortable!!!! The kitchen is well outfitted! And the way it was set up was great. The only challenges we had were with no stand shower and the stairs we manageable but might cause a challenge for some guests-which the listing did mention. We would hope to be able to enjoy again in the future.

Renter beware: this "Waterfront/Lakefront" cottage is on a very FAST ROAD. A hi-speed roadway is NOT WATERFRONT. All you can see or hear are cars racing by- getting to the water is like playing a dangerous game of Frogger! Dash at your own risk! NOT SAFE FOR KIDS AT ALL. There are also NO pond breezes in cottage as promised b/c the main windows are all painted shut (others have no screens despite lots of mosquitos & woods!). The house is super musty & the vast chalkboard covered in dozens of "testimonials" looks like a sham, just like the "waterfront." We drove 6 hours with kids only to arrive at an unventilated cottage on a high-speed road. Thx to this basic dishonesty our vacay was ruined, costly, and stressful. Needless to say, we did not stay. Kate apologized & tried to find us another rental- but it was sadly too little, too late. Luckily, AIRBNB customer service was amazing & very responsive to how our family was misled. We've rented all over the world & this was a FIRST.
