Cottage has 2 living rooms, one with fabulous view of the water, one with access to a screened in porch that overlooks the water. Renters receive 1 car pass to state park and miles of beach. Fully furnished. Have lobster, dig clams. Relax! The cottage has a dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and 2 living rooms on the first floor. There are two bedrooms on the second floor. There is a screened in porch off the back side of the house that can be entered from out of doors, or from one of the living rooms. That living room also has a futon in it.

A perfect house in Maine. I’ve summered in Maine my whole life, lived in Bath, phippsburg, and Woolwich for 8 years and I know this region well. Lisa’s old house was reminiscent of many past stays. The house is close to the main road, but this did not deter from the comfort my family enjoyed. With 2 living-rooms and a screened in porch, my family members found comfy corners.❤️
Our family of 5 loved mid-coast ME/The Gem--1850’s home in quiet, lovely Georgetown. Updated modern conveniences (refrigerator, stacked washer/dryer, smart TV/Dish/Wi-Fi), antique/eclectic decor, & tidal river view made the home comfortable, welcoming, & interesting. Well-stocked kitchen & close markets in Bath. Plenty of room to stretch out & relax. Screened in porch, shaded by large trees, was a favored location. The window fans kept the house very comfortably cool even on hotter/humid days. Reid State Park, (included park pass; < 15 mins) was used daily for swimming, walking, & searching in tide pools; multitude of nature preserve areas and trails on island; Georgetown Pottery, Five Islands Lobster, Five Islands Farms, Bath/Brunswick (Maine Maritime Museum, sweet shop, bakeries, gift shops--Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine, new/used bookstores, Bath Brewing Co). Lisa was an extremely inviting and informative host. Thank you for a lovely vacation; we most definitely will be back!
A lovely old authentic New English house 15 minutes from the beach, furnished with eclectic and antique pieces. A beautiful view onto a cove from one living room. A caring, personable host in Lisa. An island that is much less commercialized than most of the Eastern seaboard. If you value such things, I give The Gem a big recommend.
Great house, great kitchen, great proximity to everything. Georgetown has lots to explore and many gems itself like Sewell pond for swimming and The Osprey restaurant with its views and food. Eros oyster farm just down the road, buy them ala carte off the dock or take a tour. Highly recommended. Great communication with Lisa, she was very accommodating.
Great location! Awesome proximity to Reid State Park and Popham.
