Seaside Cottage Saltdean. A perfect one double bed detached cottage for two, within easy walking distance to the sea, shops, park, outdoor heated lido, bus stop to Brighton and the train station. Your own private sole-use garden and designated driveway parking. Two minute's walk to the beach via the under-cliff pedestrian tunnel. Perfectly placed five miles east of Brighton Pier. Beautiful country walks as well as the famous under-cliff walk. Wifi plus Sky TV with Netflix. There are four rooms plus hallway and secluded private garden. The property is small and the rooms are compact, but neat and tidy with modern furnishing. Doors lead off the living room to a pretty little garden that is not overlooked.

Spent a lovely few days at Andrea’s place which was simply amazing. A real home from home. Great local recommendation for an Italian restaurant on the night of our arrival and flexible check out on the day of our departure as it wasn’t booked that day. Overall an amazing place to stay, very convenient for Brighton with a bus stop just minutes away at the end of the road. Would definitely recommend stopping here and hopefully sometime we will be back as there’s so much to do in the area. Thank you. Steve and Sam
My stay at Andrea’s place in Saltdean was peaceful and tranquil. The property is next door to the lido, within a minute to bus stops taking you to Brighton or Eastbourne. I walked back from Brighton to Saltdean, and what an epic walk. I’d stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Saltdean. Andrea the host is responsive, easy going, and helpful. She offered to extend my stay as the place wasn’t booked. Sadly I had to leave early, otherwise I would’ve stayed longer.
Andrea is a wonderful, friendly and responsive host. The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. It is located a few minutes easy walk to local shops, restaurants and other amenities. The amazing Saltdean Lido is around the corner and the beachfront just down the end of the street. Off street parking was also provided. Andrea’s is a great to stay for those who would like the English seaside experience without the busyness of Brighton. Plus Brighton is just a few minutes away by car. Highly recommended!
Everything was great! Really nice place, clean and comfy. Beach and lido are so close. The coastal bus made it very easy to get to Brighton and back. Andrea was super nice and helpful. Will stay here again next time I’m coming to the area.

Residential neighborhood. Two minute's walk from house to beach. Quiet road very close to the A259 coast road, beach, park, bus stops, shops, and the famous Saltdean Lido (now open all year for swimming). No steps from Seaside Cottage to beach via undercliff pedestrian tunnel, so could be good for a wheelchair as there is a flat access platform over the pebbled beach. There is sand when the tide is low. Beautiful undercliff walk to historic village of Rottingdean (takes around 25 mins to walk there). Rottingdean is full of cafes, antique shops, beautiful old houses, two churches (C of E and Catholic) as well as Kipling Gardens and Beacon Hill Windmill.
If arriving by train, the 27 and 12 buses both take you directly from Brighton train station to 150m from Seaside Cottage (bus journey of 20-25 mins). Driveway parking spot. If arriving by motorbike, you can park it behind large secure gates so it can't be seen from the road. Space for two motorbikes. Frequent buses into Brighton (12 mins to the pier) from bus stop 150m from the cottage. Night buses run hourly from Brighton. Scenic buses run to Beachy Head and Eastbourne.
