Little Roper is a newly renovated home, located an easy 15 minute walk into the heart of Mount Beauty, a 30 minute drive to Bright, a 45 minute drive to Falls Creek and an hours drive to Albury. It’s complete with modern amenities and appliances, beautiful linen and fixtures to ensure a warm and comfortable stay. With 3 bedrooms (1x QB, 1x DB & 1x KS), the home is setup to comfortably sleep 5 guests. Little Roper is a modern cosy, newly renovated home in beautiful Mount Beauty, on Duduroa Country. The home is a 'cube' style house and is one of the original styles in town that date back to when the township was established to house the workers from the 1940's and onwards, as part of the Kiewa Valley Hydroelectric Scheme. A perfect rectangle under roof with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, Little Roper still has many hints of character, history and beautiful imperfections to enjoy, though is a modern, warm and comfortable stay all the same. Furnished with a mix of new and vintage finds, it's a cosy home away from home, comfortably sleeping up to 5 guests. The kitchen, dining and living is an open plan space with a stunning vj panelled raked ceiling and a striking red gum beam taking centre stage. The kitchen is equipped with brand new electric appliances, a double farmhouse sink, hand made silky oak floating shelves and all the cookware and ceramics you'll need to enjoy a beautiful dinner at home. The pantry is stocked with some basic items - olive oil, salt+pepper, pasta, white rice, muesli, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and some sweet biscuits. Kindly note there is no dishwasher in the home, we ask guests to kindly wash dishes as they would also expect to find them. And what is a house off the mountain without a relaxing bath? The bathroom is setup with a stunning cast iron, clawfoot bath with vintage shower faucet (shower over bath). We appreciate this setup is unfortunately not accessible for all guests. An equipped laundry includes a washer/dryer, drying racks and an outside clothesline. A small amount of washing powder is also included in your stay. At the rear of the house is an expansive patio, setup with an outside setting. Given the renovation works, the backyard is still somewhat a work-in-progress as we (patiently) wait for the grass to grow and the fences to repair themselves :) The house however, is ready when you are and we hope you enjoy your stay!
