The area was beautiful and the house was well located and separate. However, it was grubbier than I would have expected for the price, with some renovations still in progress and shabby amenities. The bed sheets and pillows hadn’t been washed well (lipstick stains on some) and there was a lot of dust and cobwebs around. The tap in the kitchen was also rather annoying in that it runs very slowly and not hot water so it is difficult to give things a scrub down and get them clean. We tried our best to leave it in a good state but it was difficult from where we started. Having said that, Michael was very responsive with a few issues we had (neighbours dogs barking through the night and a terrible smell coming into the kitchen from under the house) and I am sure was trying his best. We did leave a day early because of the storm and power going out however, and when we told them that had no acknowledgement of that communication.
