Our home is perfect for hanging out with loved ones and connecting with nature with all the privacy and quiet you need. Enjoy walking trails, a bubbling creek with waterfalls, a fire pit and patio area, lawn games and a barbeque. Across from our house there is a small trail down to White Creek where you can explore and dip your feet or more in when it’s warm out. Just a short drive from Dorset and Manchester, VT, this is the perfect home base for your southern Vermont/upstate NY vacation! Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Guests have access to high speed, fiber optic internet, a desk for work if you need it, and a TV where you can log onto your streaming accounts. You’ll have a full kitchen to cook a family meal and a spacious dining table that seats 6. We have a good collection of board games and puzzles if you want to have a game night. The first bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and and an attached bathroom with a shower. Upstairs, you’ll find another two rooms with queen beds and another full bath with a bathtub/shower combo. The bedrooms have plenty of closet space for storing your belongings and making yourself right at home, as well as nice views of the property throughout. We have about 3 acres with trails that bring you up and around the property. There is a creek with multiple little waterfalls that line the left side of our property and is perfect for connecting with nature and enjoying some peace and quiet. Our home is 5 minutes down the road from a picturesque Vermont country store called Sherman’s, where you can get homemade subs, hot food, baked goods, staple items, and a good beer/wine selection. 7 minutes to downtown Salem, you’ll find the Salem Theater, Salem Art Works, On a Limb Bakery, Jacko’s, Railroad Street Tavern, and Steiningers Chocolate shop just to name a few local businesses to check out. Our house is located just far enough out of town where you feel like you’re in your own world, but close enough if you need to run to a store to get anything you may need. There is so much to do and see in this area if you’re looking to experience the beauty of Vermont and Upstate New York! It’s perfect for lovers of hiking, fishing (so close to the famous battenkill), and hitting the slopes in the winter.
