What an amazing place. We rented this cabin for a relaxing weekend away. We love the outdoors and this spot had the outdoors within the home, and it was SO cool! This is such a comfortable space. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch, reading in the hammock, exploring the grounds and taking Rik up on some local suggestions for food and things to do. Definitely book this home if you’re looking for an awesome vacation! We can’t wait to return!

Rik was a great host. He made the check-in process very simple and greeted us with homemade bread. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway. The house was truly magical. So much craftsmanship went into building this beautiful house

We had a wonderful escape and reset from busy 9-5 work and school life at Rik’s cabin. This is a wonderful one of a kind home that provided true relaxation and respite as well as spontaneous moments of reflection and thanksgiving. This a a place for special connection and reflection. We loved it and hope the winds blows us back for a return stay. Thank you Rik - Randy and family

This was a little getaway to get away from the crazy of everyday life, work. It fit the bill perfectly! We met Terri, Rick's girlfriend, upon arrival, greeted us then came back later to fill us in on the property and its quirks. Very helpful as the home is indeed Quirky! lol The fresh bread, fruit and eggs and some fresh locally made yogurt was lovely! We enjoyed fires in both indoors and out. Coffee on the porch. Walking the trestle trail which was so close was great. sunset on Mountains was pretty, fog, and clouds on rainy afternoon too. rain on roof a treat. Beds clean and comfy! lots of places to get comfy, read a book relax. Bathrooms were "different" for lack of better adjective. we used 3! Very spa like, the big one downstairs and the grotto rock bath tub room surprisingly wonderful. Embrace the "weird". It did seem like lots of stuff in closets, but I think it's just a lot of years of collecting, repurposing items. Great relaxing time. Carol and Rob
