Walking distance to Ed Good Memorial Park, Hawksbill Skatepark, The Coffee Shop, and just a few minutes drive to Hawksbill Recreation Park/ pool, Jordan Hollow Stables, and Wisteria Farm and Vineyard. The town of Luray is only a seven mile drive where you can visit Farmers Markets, the Caverns, Garden Maze, Car and Carriage Caravan Museum, Shenandoah Heritage Village, The Rope Adventure Park, zip lining, Page Theater, Cooterś, Hawksbill Brewing Company, golfing, Luray Zoo, Escape Room, Hawksbill Greenway, In Lawn Park, The Imagination Station, The Singing Tower, and West Main Market Beer and Wine Garden just to name some great places to visit. You can spend the day fishing, tubing or canoeing the Shenandoah River. You can take in some beautiful views and hiking trails in The Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. The entrance is approximately only 12 miles. Massanutten Resort is also an all seasons resort and only a 45 minute drive where you can ski, snow tube, ice skate, visit the waterpark, go karts, arcade, zip line, spa and more. The City of Harrisonburg is less than an hour away from your stay here at Country Rose Retreat.
You will find great dining experiences in every direction no matter what you are craving. We can offer some recommendations, or if you choose to dine in, we have a fully stocked kitchen, and grocery store just down the street. We have provided the cooking essentials you will need: foil, plastic wrap, salt , pepper, and oil.
After a long day of adventure, you can come back and relax together, watch a movie on the smart tv with streaming available, relax and take in some mountain views on the front porch, patio or around the fire pit.
PROPERTY QUIET HOURS Our property quiet hours of 10 pm to 8 am are dictated by town ordinance. If law enforcement responds to a noise complaint, every individual on the property may face a criminal charge and be subject to a fine. Failure to abide by the town noise ordinance will result in the immediate termination of the stay and removal from the property without a refund.
The Neighbor has a dog: Our neighbor has an old friendly dog ¨Otie.¨ He is a Husky mix and sometimes wanders over when he is outside with his disabled owner. He has never been a problem for guests and is good with children. However, we have plans to build a privacy fence in the near future.

Parking
You may park 2-3 vehicles in the gravel driveway parallel to the house. Please do not park behind the house or drive through the yard. We do not recommend parking along the street.
