The host Emilie was fantastic and very helpful, great at communicating quickly and even offered to pick us up, which when arriving in a new location without specific house numbers is always helpful. The house was beautiful sitting on the back deck watching the monkeys and toucans with a cup of coffee was probably our favourite part of trip. It’s not walking distance to town you will need to take a taxi or bus, which is only $1 each way, usually pretty easy to find going into town, but we got a few huffs in town when mentioning where we wanted to go to get back. Wasn’t really an issue and it was partly due to there being 4 of us we were a full load but I think they also don’t really want to go out there as the road is pretty bumpy and muddy. The only thing that could have made the stay more enjoyable at the house would be AC, it gets quite warm, and a little difficult to sleep if you’re not used to sleeping into the heat. Would recommend to anyone wanting to avoid the party scene

For the price, Emilie’s place is great. She was kind, friendly and responsive. It’s close to all of the action, just a 2$/pp cab ride. Absolute gorgeous surroundings. The listing is a bit confusing, as the pictures and listing show a 3 bed room and 3 bath home. But the description says 2 bedroom, 3 bed. One bedroom was locked and unavailable. Also to note, the water was often not working at all, or would shut off and on very often which made it hard to shower. Overall, because the price is cheap, it’s on ok deal.

Emilie is a great hostess! She was always available for questions and helped us out in many different ways! I recommend a stay in Emilie's house very much. The house is a bit outside of town, so less noisy and smelly but you do need a taxi to get there and back again. Fortunately, a tixe ride with 5 person will only cost you about 4 bucks :). A good place to explore the main island as well as the other islands.
