Relax with the whole family at Stable Cottage which offers Hebridean charm with a fresh contemporary interior. The restored 18th Century Borvemor Steading has three foot thick stone walls promising a cosy and peaceful stay at a wonderful location for exploring the Isle of Harris. Situated only a few minutes walk from a golden sandy Atlantic beach, through a gate across a beautiful machair of flowers on the stunning West Coast of Harris, Stable Cottage has a very spacious open plan living space. The steading Stable Cottage has been thoughtfully converted to create a spacious open plan kitchen dining and living area with a well-stocked modern kitchen which has a dishwasher, electric hob & cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washer-dryer. The large living space is a great space for families and friends with plenty of seating and a large screen Smart TV. The snug area in the gable-end of the living space offers a good reading area or chance to simply stretch out and relax by the East facing full length wibdows. There are three cosy bedrooms; one double room and two twin rooms. One twin room has an L-shaped set of bunk beds and the other twin room has a set of bunk beds all of which are standard 200cm length mattresses so suitable for adults. There is a WC & Shower Room off the living area next to the hallway leading to the bedrooms with a further WC off the corridor beside the bedrooms. Linen and towels are provided. A travel cot for up to two year olds and a high chair is available on request. There is a Freesat Smart TV and a DVD player along with a variety of DVDs and Board Games. Free WiFi is available with fast Full Fibre BTB Broadband Up to two pet dogs are very welcome and please note that dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms so best to bring their own basket/mat, thank you. Otters, Golden Eagles, Grey Seals and Dolphins have been sited locally and the coast and inland mountains are all rich in wild-life and wild flowers. Gentle beach walks, mountain climbs up to a view from above the myriad islands of the Hebrides and fun exploring the rock pools or sand dune jumping by the shore are unforgettable. There are several delightful eateries locally serving delicious home-made fayre  and a number of local artists and makers of Harris Tweed to visit including the Isle of Harris Distillery. The Arts and Entertainment Centre, Talla na Mara, with a restaurant wine bar open until 8pm, exhibitions, events, art studios and a chocolate shop is within a ten minute walk of Borvemor Cottages.
