This unique Art Deco house is the perfect get away from London. Located a short walk from Mapledurham Golf course and wedding venues, its the ideal place to come for a peaceful long weekend away. The house sits in 2 acres of land, with a wild flower meadow and a forest over looking the river Thames. The South facing tennis lawn is the perfect place for a game of croquet, Badminton or a picnic in the sun. This art deco space is one of a kind, with wooden panelled interiors boasting 2 living rooms and a dining rooms with wood burning fires and a grand piano. The rooms have the original servants bells and comfortable beds.

Fabulous stay with friehds and family over a long weekend. Beautiful huge space - the photos don’t do it justice! Very well equipped. Great communication throughout.
Flora's place was very nice and clean, we especially enjoy the huge garden. It was easy to find and the instructions to get there were very accurate. I would definitely recommend.

gorgeous house, visited with some friends from abroad and it didn't disappoint. it rained but we still made use of the beautiful garden everyday. luckily it had multiple big open spaces for entertaining for when it did rain.

This unique avenue is situated a short 20 minute walk or 5-7 min taxi from reading station, but you wouldn’t know it. This oasis will make you feel fully immersed with nature. With all sorts of bird life, deer and pheasants (including Philip, our resident male pheasant who lives in the grounds) and our pair of red kites and their children. The house is silent at night, apart from the occasional monk jack call (small deer), or owl hoot. We are a short walk from the golf course and many beautiful country side walks through bluebell forests where you can hunt for wild garlic and dairy cows.
Parking is within the grounds and free of charge
