A lovely house in a peaceful woodland location. The place was clean and well furnished, with all the amenities you'd expect. Thanks Carole and Denys for the complementary drinks and snacks, much appreciated.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot, perfect for our purposes. A gentle, short, and stunning walk from the centre of Porlock, yet it feels like being in the middle of nowhere. Lovely house, exactly as described and with plenty of space. Denys as host could not have been more obliging, or more prompt in communicating. Just a really great experience all around.

This place is a find. it's in a beautiful wood, the sounds around the house are so relaxing, we slept with the windows wide open to listen to the sounds of the water and birds. The patio area is a total suntrap, it has a lovely view of the forest and no wind, so nice to sit in the sun, it's very private too. Denys is so kind and helpful, he let me do my Welsh course which really helped me, thank you so much. The walk into Porlock is lovely and not far. In the day we went to Dunster Castle, it's a great day out and only a short drive. we also took the dogs to Dunster beach. All in all a great place to stay. I highly recommend this cottage, we loved it.

A truly warm welcome was extended by Denys and Carole before I'd even left home! Wonderful communication from the moment I booked, and a genuine desire to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Tucked away along a bridal path up from the centre of Porlock, this is a gem of a place to retreat from the daily hustle, recharge and enjoy the forest, moorland and coastal scenery that this beautiful part of our island is blessed with.
