We had a fantastic time. The annex is really spacious, comfy and very cosy. We didn't want for anything and Rosalind was a fantastic host. Looking forward to visiting again!
Rosalind was a great host, she communicated with me from my initial booking to arrival regarding all aspects including, how to get there, arrival time etc to actually greeting us on arrival. The cottage was immaculate, very well presented and had everything we needed. The cottage was very comfortable and the bed linen and duvets were superb. We enjoyed our local walk, Long Mynd walk and visit to Church Stretton. We had a super meal at the Bottle and Glass Inn just around the corner from the cottage. There is a couple of seats just outside the front door where we enjoyed a tipple and all the locals who past were very friendly. We would love to return and highly recommend. Thank You Rosalind for all your kindness. Dawn, Jen and Edna the dog
It was lovely to be met by Rosalind on our arrival and to be given a quick tour of the property and the amenities. Very clean and tidy. Lots of information on the surrounding area. The welcome drizzle cake was also a nice touch. Would definitely book again 🙂
Well equipped, cosy cottage. Lovely location although surrounded by challenging country roads. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive hosts.
The idyllic village of Picklescott is at the halfway point of a delightful circular walk along small country lanes, whilst the surrounding area provides many scenic walks including the Shropshire Way, the stunning landscapes of the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones Hills. Visits to the bustling market town of Church Stretton, nestling at the foot of the Long Mynd, medieval Shrewsbury with its lovely riverside walks, historic streets and theatre, wonderful Ludlow with its majestic 13th Century castle, racecourse and popular food festivals and any number of museums at the world heritage site at Ironbridge, are all a must for visitors to this lovely part of Shropshire. Take a leisurely stroll around the pretty village before quenching your thirst and grabbing a bite to eat at the locally renowned Bottle and Glass Inn, just a stones throw from this cottage. A charming cottage in a typically English village!
The market town of Church Stretton and County town of Shrewsbury both have good rail links.
