Oak Cottage is a beautiful home situated on the corner of the B2116 and Wineham Lane in West Sussex. This home is a lovely escape with a large garden with lots of footpaths in the beautiful Sussex countryside. Oak Cottage has two king sized rooms, one double and a single bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and includes an Aga and conventional oven, the living area is open plan with a cosy snug with open fire and office space. Wifi is available but is not very fast, and there netflix and sky available in the living room and master bedroom. The space outside consists of a front drive and small turning circle, this space accommodates two cars, further space for additional cars can be made available. There is a key safe to the right of the front door. The garden path to the left of the house leads down an arched flower path to the back garden gate, guests are not permitted beyond this gate, which leads to the stables, horses, barns and fields. The back garden is secure (to date) and includes a patio. There is a pond area which is out of bounds, but you can hear the waterfall which is on a timer twice a day. The Wheatsheaf Pub and coffee shop is approx. 50 m from the Cottage and serves great coffee and food

We had a lovely relaxing weekend away at Oak Cottage. very clean and comfy beds. large well kept garden. The spacious cottage is very well equipped with everything we needed. Tastefully decorated. Pretty touches. A welcome pack with essentials. Washing up liquid,, dishwasher tablets, toilet/kitchen roll, etc provided. 5 minutes walk from the Wheatshef friendly pub. Reasonably priced excellent food. Would definitely recommend Oak Cottage and The Wheatshef.
Our second stay in this beautiful cottage was every bit as lovely, peaceful and relaxing as the first. We love it so much and would recommend to anyone! Especially lovely for families. Lorna is a fantastic, kind, helpful and communicative host and ensured our mini break went perfectly - 10/10
We stayed at Oak Cottage for a long weekend for a family break. The cottage was in beautiful surroundings and was a perfect space for us to spend time together as a family with ample space and every comfort thought of. There was a welcome pack when we arrived and Lorna was very responsive in the run up to the booking. We never needed to use the contact details provided but felt assured that had there been an issue it would have been dealt with. Thank you Lorna for a lovely stay!
Fabulous stay meeting up with good friends during school holidays. Such a beautiful house, the open plan living area is a great space for hanging out, beds all super comfy, each room as lovely as the next. We only stayed for one night, but as two Mums and 4 teens and we had loads of room to all have our own space. 🙂 Also, thanks for the thoughtful touches, chocolates and a card on arrival, milk, bread, butter, jam and coffee pods! We would love to come back. Thank you.
I stayed here the night before my wedding with my 6 bridesmaids and I can honestly say I had the best experience. Oak cottage is beautiful and Lorna was absolutely lovely, nothing was too much to ask for. Thank you Lorna, I will definitely be returning!xx

Oak Cottage is situated in the hamlet of Wineham, 3 miles from Henfield village, 15 minutes drive from Brighton and 30 minutes drive from Gatwick. The Cottage is opposite a riding stables called Ponies-n-Kids which is next to Wheatsheaf Coffee Shop and Pub. The coffee shop provides home baked food, coffee and Brazilian street food and is open mon- fri 7.30-2.30 and sat 9-4. The pub serves traditional and Brazilian food and is within walking distance. Further down Wineham Lane is the Royal Oak Pub, which is well known and has a traditional atmosphere. There are many footpaths and walks along the River Adur and local countryside and the South Downs National Park is approximately 8 miles away near the Village of Steyning. there is plenty to do and lots to explore.
The car is the most popular mode of transport, there are no bus routes within easy walking distance, Henfield Village is a 3 mile walk away and has ample meter parking
