We were very comfortable in John's flat. There was always plenty of hot water and a great, roomy shower. The bed was comfortable and the cookiing facilities were good. We loved the area. Walks in either direction, along the south west coast path, were simply stunning. It took about half an hour to Hope cove in one direction, and a similar duration Batham in the opposite direction. Both are well worth a visit. Thurlestone it's self has lovely sandy beaches, a great pub and a shop. As mentioned in some other reviews the sound of footsteps form the house above can be loud at times, and start early in the morning. Also, there was no secure, outdoor, area for our dog. Overall, these issues didn't spoil our stay and we felt the flat was great value for money, considering it's excellent location.

The place was perfect for a weekend away. Weather was amazing for two days so fully enjoyed the patio and the view and garden. John was very responsive helpful and friendly whilst not being too present. We enjoyed using the paddle boards one day.

We really enjoyed our stay in John's apartment. It was clean, nicely furnished and close to the beach and beautiful coastal paths.
