We had a great stay at Oceanside Cottages. Beautiful beachside setting, steps to beach. Very Cape Cod Cottage. Perfect size for our family!!!

Excellent little cottage very close to a nice beach. Easy to reach and close to lots to do on the Cape. Very clean and efficient.

The positive: The cottage is literally steps away from sand. You can hear the ocean while you are sleeping from the primary bedroom if you keep the balcony door open at night. The beach is sandy at the top and you can have campfires on the sand. Sandwich is cute with nice restaurants. The Brown Jug, Fisherman’s View and Off the Grid were our favorites. Beer from Treehouse Brewing too. The negatives: The cottage was not very clean, and in general just very worn (couches uncomfortable to sit on). We found dirty socks underneath clean (?) bedspreads and the box fan upstairs did not work. The kitchen has been updated but has no storage for pantry items. Thankfully we could just pile stuff on the counter. We were asked to vacuum and sweep before leaving but it was near impossible to get the vacuum out from under the stairs. We had to go to the realty office directly to check in and drop off keys. It’s not far from the cottage but an added inconvenience. The cottage has ocean views but smells of dumpster as the garbage for the complex is located directly underneath the primary bedroom balcony. The propane was low on the grill but thankfully we only used it once. We did find a leftover burger on the grill too. The beach is ROCKY! Not very nice for young children. It did however have a nice sandbar around Noon which allowed for some brief sandy play during our stay. As a host ourself, the owners of the cottage really should take a more involved approach into their rental (or the realty company should be?)
