Great location and beautiful scenery. The unit was clean, modern and the description and pictures were spot on.
Loved the wild life and enjoying tea on the patio. The stars were great in the evening. Quiet and close enough to town to shop. Water pressure for showers could have been better but plenty of hot water. Was very clean and bed was comfortable. Will definitely recommend to friends that may come to the area and will personally stay again for a quiet retreat.
The lack of a working shower was problematic. There was a limp trickle of water from the shower and the tub. We had been at a hot springs all day, so it was pretty much a given for us that we'd have a hot shower in our room. Nope. We got a washcloth wipe down. When we alerted our host, we were told how beneficial it was to know where the water shut-off was, but that wasn't the problem. Incomplete info and super bummer.
The location of the property gives you the sense of being away from it all, while still having the convenience of being just 20 minutes from Colorado Springs and a half hour from the airport. Hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails are only a few minutes away. Cascade is a scenic mountain community well-suited for exploration, but with all the close-by amenities, you may never want to leave the area.
Right across the road is the Wines of Colorado, a popular wine bar and Creekside dining experience that serves wine, beer, and spirits. The Winery at Pikes Peak is also just a four-minute walk down the road, where you can enjoy wine tasting, brunch, or dinner. There’s no shortage of activities for kids and young people, including the nearby amusement park, Home of Santa’s Workshop North Pole, which opens in May and till the end of December.
