There is also space on the upper level for the double futon sofa-bed - ideal for additional guests. All of the beds are fitted with new, hotel-quality linen, cosy blankets and throws and pillows in a range of sizes. Designed and built by a Norwegian meteorologist, this open plan home is tailor-made to the unique Wellington climate. Double glazing, a wood burner and electric wall heaters keep you cozy in winter, and wall-to-ceiling sliding doors let in an abundance of natural light and keep the home cool and airy in the warm summer months. The space has been tastefully filled with Scandinavian inspired designer furniture and curated with beautiful, unique art. It is worth noting that access to this home (like many in Wellington with a spectacular coastal view) is up a long flight of approximately 100 steps. While the Norwegian meteorologist would run up and down these steps with his bike or surfboard several times a day, we appreciate that he is of the minority! If you or someone in your travel party are mobility impaired (or if you are travelling with loads of luggage) this may not be the home for you. However if you can manage the steps you will be rewarded with the ultimate destination; a private sanctuary amongst the trees with comfort, coziness and the most breathtaking views from almost every corner of the house.
