I hate to write a bad review about anything but this was not a good stay. I'm truly surprised all the other reviews are all 5 stars. This house is DIRECTLY located on the highway. Like get on map street view and check out Kooper family whiskey. The noise from the 18 wheelers racing through was so incredibly loud. My friends said they heard it all night. They thought the old single pane windows were open because it was so loud. The house feels like you're walking through a fun house. The floors go up and down throughout the first floor and the cheap laminate floorboards feel like walking on a puzzle sitting loosely on the foundation. The downstairs shower was gross. I pulled out a large chunk of hair from the shower drain. It looked like it had been there for a while. The shower door which should've been clear was opaque halfway down with soap scum. I wished I brought shower shoes. The mattress was fine. The pillows were terrible. 12 min to Round Top is the only good feature.

Great house right off of 290 and next to a whiskey bar. We were in town for the Antiques Fair so we didn't get a chance to check it out since we returned late every night. The house had pretty much everything we needed and there was PLENTY of room to spread out for all eight of us. The mattresses were super comfortable. The noise from 290 worried us at first but you kind of get used to it and it becomes white noise. Hank and Taylor were fantastic at keeping us informed and check-in was flawless. They are fantastic hosts!

Had a wedding in the area and this was the perfect place. Had a great cocktail at Kooper Family Whiskey next door.
