We loved this home! It was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and had 2 hot tubs! There were lots of thoughtful touches like new toothbrushes, snacks, and a bottle of wine for us. The hosts were absolutely wonderful! We highly recommend this location!!
Read the instructions carefully on this one. It may not be for everyone. Not sure how comfortable it would sleep six. There were king and queen beds in two bedrooms and curved couch in living room that might work for some (I would not have wanted to sleep on it). Owners live next door and controls the heat remotely, which did not heat past 68, dropped lower throughout night (outside 41 that night) and then system reflected that there was a problem with the heat. Owner said thanks for alerting them to this and that they would fix it. Much emphasis was placed on us being quiet, which I normally do, but I was extra careful on this one. Owner did give me permission to invite my local Santo Domingo Pueblo friend in, but he declined to come in. We were a quick in and out, so we did not use the hot tubs or other amenities. Yards had artificial turf, corn hole game, and inside had golf practice putting thing. Kitchen and living area were spacious, clean but nothing elaborate or special.
Amazing getaway. Ideal location for families.
Historical Spruce Park Neighborhood is a very peaceful quiet premiere location in Albuquerque with low traffic. Secluded despite being close to UNM, Downtown, Old Town, Nob Hill, Airport, all major Hospitals and all Sports Stadiums. Located in the heart of Albuquerque, very convenient. National Register of Historic Places and the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties. Country Club Addition that is over 100 years old with higher property value and flourished with trees. Surprisingly discreet area where doctors, engineers, highly successful business owners, political, government and board members live. Unless you were looking for spruce park, you might never find it.
Tucked into Albuquerque’s cultural, intellectual, historical and geographical center, the residential neighborhood of Spruce Park (Old Country Club Addition) combines the brilliance of the big city with the quiet shade of mature, tree-lined streets. Spruce Park quickly makes up for its diminutive area with its grand landmarks, defining its four notable boundaries. It's frontier to the East is University Blvd. (where the University of New Mexico starts), to the North, Las Lomas Rd., to the West, Cedar St., and to the South, Grand Ave. and Presbyterian Hospital. It’s no secret that what makes Spruce Park so appealing is its proximity to Nob Hill’s exquisite restaurants and shopping, the hospital and medical centers, the park from which it borrows its name and, of course, its walking distance to UNM. In fact, Spruce Park received a walk score of 89, placing it as the 7th most walkable neighborhood in all of ABQ. However, what really makes Spruce Park so visually stimulating is the historical nature of its architecture. Punctuated with higher end detached homes with very few townhomes and apartments, homes are mostly late 19th and 20th Century Revivals as well as Moderne. Add to that the delightful Spruce Park sits at the top of the hill, and you have a very cohesive little community. Being that this is such a tight and coveted little Albuquerque neighborhood, very few homes come on the market, and when they do, they go fast and purchased for a hefty premium price.
Parking is across the street. Quick access to I-25 and I40*
