Just returned from a wonderful 4 nights at Alex’s place. Check in was easy, the house was spotless and he is just so friendly and helpful in the chat. We were a family of three adults, 2 kids and a dog and there was plenty of room. The welcome package was greatly appreciated and devoured within minutes. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with kid friendly appliances, potty, step, kids plates etc. The house was warm, beautifully presented and the washing machine was a godsend after our little people got dirty and dandy at the beach. The location of the house is superb, dead central walking distance to the beach a fabulous play park and the Dawlish river can be seen and heard from the property which is idyllic. Train station in the down can transport you to most local places around. If you are deliberating about booking don’t hesitate just do it, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Waterside Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and was the perfect location for Dawlish and surrounding areas. Alex and Claire are perfect hosts with great communication and lovely welcome pack provided on arrival. We would love to come back again.

We had a great stay here. The cottage was in a lovely location and Alex and Claire were easy to communicate with. My daughter and dog both loved being so close to the strand and the sea (and there’s an amazing park nearby that’s great for kids too). The only thing to note is that some ceilings were quite low- not a problem for myself or my 4-year-old and my husband got used to ducking but some taller people might not prefer it if they don’t like that kind of thing.

An enjoyable stay assisted by very responsive host Alex who dealt with all issues raised. Appreciated contact even after departure. Welcome pack with property being prepared in very clean condition. Aware that property old and could benefit from extractor system to deal with condensation which is seasonal. Stayed during Christmas period and really appreciated that hosts went the extra mile and decorated property for our arrival. Excellent touch

We loved staying at this beautiful cottage. It's so well situated, comfortable and well equipped. It really was home from home. The communication from Alex was excellent, he responded to any messages immediately and is so very helpful. My son left something at the cottage and Alex very kindly offered to post it to us. Everything was lovely and well organised right from booking and during our stay. It's very homely and nicely furnished, lots of little touches and we were very appreciative of the welcome pack! I totally recommend it, it's a lovely place to stay.
