Welcome to the Ecobosque del mar! You will love this place if you are looking for a unique experience: An unforgettable encounter with nature. The hostel is in the forest, there are rivers and waterfalls, trails and the best thing: the beach. Being so close to the Corcovado National Park, it is a rural area where you will be able to observe many types of animals. Monkeys, toucans, sloths, raccoons and even tapirs and pumas have been spotted here. We welcome you as if you were coming home. My family's property is very large. The river runs through it and ends at the sea. The construction is quite basic and simple, we are very humble people and we are very happy and grateful with what we have in our life. The rooms are pretty basic, they have the most important things you need to sleep peacefully and safely. But you can't expect luxuries. The hostel is in the middle of nature, it is built open to be able to see nature and it is an encounter with mother earth. In fact we continue to build this project from the heart that keeps getting more beautiful with every idea that our guests give us. We are happy to receive your advice to improve our hostel and to make you part of this project!

Merci à Kirani, pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité, et merci à Elmer et Maria pour leur accueil. Ça a été une expérience unique pour moi, le lieu est magique et tous les gens que j’ai rencontré ont été d’une extrême gentillesse, je repars le cœur léger ! Le logement n’est pas fait pour tout le monde cela reste rudimentaire mais si vous cherchez le calme, la nature et une expérience unique venez les yeux fermer ! Merci encore pour tout, je reviendrais !

Elmers small hostel is a very basic place that offers an off-the-beaten-track experience. Certainly not for luxury lovers but for what it is it is absolutely fantastic! The location is close to the most beautiful, empty beaches and the Drake Bay hiking trail which I can recommend to hike southwards at least until Rio Claro. There's a nice Soda to eat at nearby. Elmer doesn't speak English but he and his wife are very helpful and welcoming. Kirani was also super helpful with organizing all kinds of things like getting there, booking a boat taxi to Sierpe, tours etc. If I would have had enough time, I would have stayed longer!

Es war alles perfekt. Ich habe diese 4 Wochen im Regenwals direkt am Strand genossen. Elmar und seine Frau sind sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Es ist ein Paradies!

Only our family lives around the property. It is a very quiet and safe place.
We are surrounded by pure nature, jungle, rivers and sea. There are waterfalls nearby with a swimming pool. You can enjoy the beach which is a 1 minute walk away and you can also find the mountains and forest behind and to the sides of the property.
There are many trails for you to enjoy.
There are all the most important things close by:
-two sodas (very small restaurants)
-a small store where you can buy the basics.

Here you can go to all the nearest places on foot. There is a lot to see and walking you can observe the beauties of our mother earth.
If you need to go somewhere you don't want to walk to, we can arrange a cab to take you wherever you want to go.
Here you can also take a car to the entrance of the property.
