Los Suenos is a 300-acre private nature reserve that boasts unparalleled privacy and untouched beauty. The reserve contains the entirety of the lower basin of the Rio Rosario, a very important corridor for wildlife that supports an abundant amount of biodiversity- over 200 species of birds, howler monkeys, ocelot wildcats, butterflies, deer, iguanas, and much more. Not only does the reserve support wildlife, but plant-life as well. Lush vegetation and a stunning canopy of magnificent trees, make for cool shaded days and unprecedented privacy. The microclimate of this area produces pleasant year-round temperatures and refreshing breezes, creating a wonderful outdoor living climate.

It will be important for you to have a rental car for your visit. A four-wheel drive vehicle would be preferred, especially during the rainy season which falls between May and early December. A disclaimer about local roads: many roads and bridges are narrow, bumpy, sandy, uneven, etc. Please be safe while navigating.
Here are just a few highlights of the local towns and beaches:
-7 minutes away from Finca Los Suenos is a fishing village called San Juanillo. San Juanillo is surrounded by beautiful beaches and is home to a local population of approximately 300 people. Usually, you can get just about everything you need right in town. Although it is just a small fishing village, it has a local grocery store, a few bars, and a few restaurants. Luckily it still maintains a “small-town” vibe and is certainly unlike the surf town of Nosara. Many of the locals in Nosara actually like to come up to San Juanillo for the day to enjoy its more secluded beaches. Even though it is relatively quiet, there are several incredible places to eat and drink. The town offers access to activities like yoga, fishing, diving, sea kayaking, and horseback riding.
-Finca Los Suenos is located only 10 minutes away from the Ostional National Turtle Reserve. It is the 2nd largest turtle reserve in Latin America. Olive-Ridley Sea Turtles come to lay their eggs between the months of July and March. The primary migration happens in the rainy season months, between October and January. -20 minutes North of your home, lies Marbella Beach. Like Guiones, down in Nosara, this beach features some great surf. It’s a long beach, roughly 4 - 5 kilometers. It is shaded partially by trees, offering a nice respite from the sun. It is a much quieter beach than the beaches south of it. Featuring a great tiki bar that’s good for surf-and-turf along with that end-of-the-day cocktail or refreshment... Marbella Beach is uncrowded, and a great place to come and truly relax.
-25 minutes South is a much bigger town named Nosara. Nosara maintains three great beaches, all with their own vibes and highlights. It hosts amazing restaurants, a bustling nightlife, and plenty of shopping, including many more grocery options. Nosara has a huge yoga community. It is one of the top 20 surf spots in the world. It also has a commuter airport for more direct flights (NOB), that Sansa Airlines flies to. There are many activities and amenities there to choose from, like world class surfing at Guiones, canopy tours, river and sea kayaking, or even a class at the well-known Yoga Institute of Nosara. Anything you cannot find in San Juanillo; you are sure to find in Nosara.
